The Dane Peters Fund
for Montessori Lifelong Learning
Named in honor of our beloved former Head of School, the Dane Peters Fund supports professional development for faculty and staff.
During his eleven-year tenure as the Head of Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, Dane passionately advocated for the importance of lifelong learning and its influence on program excellence. Dane believed professional development for faculty and staff is integral to building a vibrant community by inspiring our students through modeling a love of learning.
In pursuit of his own ongoing education, Dane set an example for the entire BHMS community by volunteering to serve on accreditation committees and at teacher institutes; supporting and mentoring interns; and writing for over 20 different educational publications throughout his career.
Sustained investment in professional development enriches our students’ education and supports BHMS’s strong reputation in the Montessori and independent school communities. The Dane Peters Fund for Montessori Lifelong Learning will continue to honor Dane’s vision by nurturing professional development for faculty and staff for the growth and betterment of the entire community.
