Ann has been involved in the New York City independent school community for over thirty years. She is a consultant and leadership coach with The Leader Network, a consortium of current and former independent school heads. From 2008-2021, she served as Associate Director of the National Association of Episcopal Schools where she focused on school leadership, identity, and governance. She is the former head of St. Luke’s School in Greenwich Village and served as middle school head at both Chapin and Poly Prep. She and her husband, Peter Helling, are devoted Brooklynites who live in Ditmas Park. She chairs the BHMS Audit Committee.
