Head of School Search
The Board of Trustees has launched a national search for Brooklyn Heights Montessori School's next Head of School. This is a significant moment in the history of the school, grounded in deep care and thoughtful planning, as BHMS looks ahead to the next chapter.
The Process
The Board of Trustees is conducting this search in partnership with RG175, a search firm that works exclusively with independent schools. Our lead consultants are Jerry Katz and Tony Featherston, experienced school leaders with a deep knowledge of the New York City independent school community.
Timeline
Summer - Fall 2026: Recruitment of candidates and initial interviews
September 22 & 23, 2026: Consultants Tony Featherston and Jerry Katz on site for a comprehensive campus visit
November 10, 2026: Application deadline
January 2027: Finalists Visit Campus
February 2027: Selection of New Head
July 1, 2027: New Head Begins
