Kristi has been a BHMS parent since 2013 when her oldest child - a BHMS graduate - entered the two's program. She currently has children in the school in 4th and 7th grades. A former public defender with the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, Kristi co-founded a local cooperative preschool group where she worked closely with neighborhood parents and early childhood educators to help develop the program there. Though she is primarily home with her kids, most recently Kristi has spent time developing music education programming with several after-school and summer groups. Kristi holds a B.A. in mathematics from the University of Rochester, a B.M. in music education from the Eastman School of Music, and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law. This is Kristi's seventh year on the Board, where she Chairs the Committee on Trustees, and serves on the Institutional Advancement and Buildings and Grounds Committees.
