Merry has been a BHMS parent since 2017 when her daughter, Ava (class of 2029), entered the Twos Program. She is a partner at a boutique law firm, representing clients in intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation across a range of industries from consumer goods, software, fashion, and entertainment to aerospace and defense. She has also acted on a pro bono basis on behalf of Sudanese refugees seeking asylum in the U.S. Before her legal career, Merry served as Chief Creative Director at a brand development firm in Silicon Valley where she developed brand systems and online business strategies for Fortune 100 companies and helped launch over 40 startups. Merry holds a B.F.A. from The School of Art and Design at East Carolina University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Currently, she chairs the Risk Management Committee and serves on the Committee of Trustees.
