Merry has been a BHMS parent since 2017 when her daughter, Ava (class of 2029), entered the Twos Program. She is a partner at a boutique law firm, where she represents clients in intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation across a diverse range of industries, including software, fashion, entertainment, aerospace, and defense. She also maintained an active pro bono practice, including representing Sudanese refugees seeking asylum in the United States. Before her legal career, Merry served as Chief Creative Director at a brand development firm in Silicon Valley where she developed brand systems and online business strategies for Fortune 100 companies and helped launch over 40 startups. Merry earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.F.A. from The School of Art and Design at East Carolina University. She chairs the Risk Management Committee and serves on the Committee on Trustees.
