Roxanne Leff

Roxanne has worked in independent schools for over twenty years, including eight years at Brooklyn Heights Montessori School where she is Assistant Head of School. Previously, she has worked at The Town School, Riverdale Country School, Ethical Culture Fieldston School, and the Shady Hill School, including roles as apprentice teacher, middle school classroom teacher, Diversity Coordinator, Dean of Students, and Assistant Division Head. Roxanne served on the NYSAIS Diversity Committee and was Co-Chair from 2017 to 2019. She has also served as a trustee at an independent school in New York City. Roxanne earned her BA from Rutgers University, an MA in Teaching from Tufts University, and an M. Ed. in Educational Leadership from the Klingenstein Center at Columbia University. She lives in Harlem with her husband, her daughter who is college-bound, and her son who is in high school.
