Monique Sawyer

Monique brings more than ten years of experience in education to BHMS and is excited to join the community. Her teaching career began at an independent school, where she worked with middle and high school students. She then spent eight years teaching fourth grade at a charter school, refining her expertise in elementary education. Monique holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Elementary Education. She got to know the BHMS community last year as a frequent substitute teacher in the Upper Elementary and is thrilled to join the team on a full-time basis. Beyond the classroom, Monique cherishes spending time with her family. She is enthusiastic about forming connections with her students and their families and is looking forward to a successful school year ahead!
